THE SHORT-THROW SHIFTER: By changing the geometry of the linkage attachment points, this Short-Throw Shifter can move the shifter arms further with less of your arm moving. This isn't the same as simply shortening your shifter with the ol' Dremel tool - this is a true performance enhancement for your Porsche® - it even replaces the "slop springs" on the early cars... tightens the pattern up nicely! Professionaly machined from a single aluminum billet, and then anodized for toughness and good looks. Will fit left-hand drive (US, Canada) or Right-hand drive (ROW) cars.
THE SHIFT GATE: Our polished shift gate is a nice dress-up piece to replace that old boot or to show off that new anodized short-shifter you just installed. Provides a racey Ferrari-like appearance to your center console. This is a cosmetic piece - although it does work, it is not intended to cure sloppy shift linkages or bad linkage adjustments. The shift pattern on your 928 is controlled within the transaxle and linkages - and they should be in proper condition and adjustment (the shifter cup, linkage bushings, and the rear coupler), then this shift gate will function correctly. We make this piece right in our own shop out of Aircraft-Quality aluminum plate and polish it to a bright shine (as shown). Will fit Left-hand drive (US, Canada) or Right-hand drive (ROW) cars.
Instructions Included Installation takes under 1 hour. May require slight modification to your center console. Simple instructions with step-by-step photos included.
