For those that live in locations that require catalytic converters, we have located special high-flow-rate Cats. The Cats are cut into the ends, and fit before your existing 928 exhaust system so that you do not have to do any cutting to your 928 Exhaust. These new all-steel Cats flow exceptionally well and only reduce your output by 6-8 HP (compared to having no cats at all) . Ceramic Cats that we tested reduced the HP by as much as 15 HP!
THERE ARE TWO CATALYTIC CONVERTERS AVAILABLE: 150 cpi (cells per inch) and 300 CPI.
The 150 cpi catalytic converter gives the most HP, but will not clean up the emissions of a car that marginally passes smog tests.
The 300 cpi catalytic converter can really help any 928 that is struggling to pass emissions to succeed.
