Identify Your Porsche® 928 Engine
These photos will show you where to find the engine model on a Porsche® 928. There will be two numbers stamped into the block just below the upper radiator hose as shown. The top number is the Engine Serial Number. Below that will be the Engine Model Number, beginning with "M28/xx" The model of the engine is the two digits after "M28/"
The Model number will identify the compression ratio, Horsepower, Torque, and factory fuel system for that motor.
