Danny Floeckinger

I am 31 years old, started racing in 2006 with my 931 (924 Turbo). The car was quick but much too slow to compete with the rest of the field. This year, at the Hockenheim race Jochen from "Landsharks" pointed my attention to the Porsche 928. I then bought a black 928 S4 on eBay. The car's interior was in very bad shape and so I could buy it for 3.5K EURO. A bargain! I then invested approx 7K EURO to fix all problems and paint it in Carrera-white.

Another 4-5K EURO were spent for additional stuff like oiling upgrade, camshafts, non-slip diff and all the necessary FIA approved stuff (required because the race series is a official FIA event).

Vehicle Specs:

5.0 liters 32V S4 engine,
928 Motorsports radiator
Modified GTS camshafts,
Modified oiling/Accusump,
SharkTuned ecu's to run with 99 octane and to meet lambda 0,91.
928 Motorsports X-Pipe, 928M Rear mufflers, 928M RMB, no cat.
928 Motorsports KONI/Hypercoil suspension
Teflon Bushings
928 Motorsports lower and upper frame brace
Limited slip-diff 40 - 100% adjustable,
FIA approved Roll cage, 6 point harness and Sparco Seat
FIA approved fire extinguishing system
FIA certified 100 litres custom-made Fuel cell
Dry weight 1310kg excluding driver
Max power 371BHP, and limited to 6500rpm.

The Series :
The race series is called Porsche Alpenpokal (Alps Cup) www.alpenpokal.com which is a international race series for all types of Porsche cars. I am racing the so called "Supersport" class with 993´s, 964´s and 951´s. This race series is officially sponsored by Porsche. The class I am staring in is the "middle class" There is a "low cost" class with 924´s and 944´s and a "PRO-Class" with GT3 RSR only.

Next year's schedule is as follows:

24. and 25. April 2009  Salzburg Ring, Austria
29. and 30. May 2009    Autodromo Most, Czech Republic
27. and 28. June 2009 Eurospeedway Lausitzring, Germany
