About Us
928 Motor sports was begun in the year 2000, and was known at that time as
Safari Motorsports in recognition of its only sponsor.
In 2001, we developed a
Porsche supercharger for a 928 CIS
against
several opinions that it could not be done. It can. And very well, we might add.
In January 2001 we changed our name to 928 Motorsports, and decided to
offer our Porsche Supercharger and other Porsche racing parts knowledge to others. We acquired the rights to the web
addresses 928motorsports.com and 928performance.com and got busy.
928 Motorsports is owned and operated by Carl Fausett, with help from his crew: sons Ty (mechanic) and AJ (mechanic) and daughter Amber (machinist). Connie McNabb runs the office and makes sure all your Porsche racing parts and packages get packed and shipped ASAP.

This is a rare picture of Connie McNabb, Office Manager and Shipping Dept Head. The reason it's rare is that she is never sitting still!
Connie does all of the shipping quotes and bids, and personally supervises the quality of every package that is packed and shipped out of here.
A look at our feedback on eBay will tell you just what a good job she does!

Ryan Silva joined 928 Motorsports in 2006 as a machinist and to help Carl in the shop. He quickly showed his skills transcended machining and included product design, engineering, and fabrication. In 2007, Carl gave Ryan the title and responsibility of being Crew Chief for our Pikes Peak Team. Ryan has risen to it with conviction and performed exceptionally well. He will not rest until he and Carl can wrestle every HP out of our new engine that he can!
Carl and a high-school friend finished their High-school Auto Mech experience
by winning the Plymouth Troubleshooting Contest in 1974.
In 1976 he became a NIASE Certified Mechanic while running his own foreign car
service center in Madison, WI called Reliance Automotive Specialties.
He has raced all kinds of stuff over the years - stock cars, Jeeps, Sailboats, and now the Porsche 928.
Taylor (Ty) Fausett works in the Air Force as a F-16 Fighter engine mechanic when he's not studying Engineering at the University of WI or making our websites. He is a co-driver of the University of Wisconsin Formula SAE car, and is also a 3-time 944 Turbo owner, with a 400+ HP project car 9 months in the making and in the process of being tuned for track...

Austin (AJ) Fausett dragged a $300 Triumph Spitfire out of a barn where it has set for 15 years
and subsequently rebuilt EVERYTHING on that little demon, and began racing in Solo 1
and Autocross events at 16. AJ is the ultimate crew - always willing, traveling to races to crew for
928 Motorsports or to the shop to help sort the car out between races.

Amber Fausett works in the fabrication shop at 928 Motorsports and is concentrating on detail and machining work. She also does most of our powder coating. Days she can be found at Horicon High School where she has held a 4.0 average 2 years in a row! AJ and Carl are going to get her into autocross one of these days...
Constance (Connie) Fausett rounds out the team, and is always ready to dive in to help with any task. Here she is manning the 928 Motorsports booth at a car show, and running parts in her 928 Spyder. She has encouraged my business efforts for 20 years now, and has had quite a storied career herself as a teacher to children with disabilities.

Many thanks must given to "the crew" - my family and especially my sons - for those mid-season
engine rebuilds and many weekends they have given. Some events we would not have made but
for their tireless help and patience.
